Unforgettable Worship LUKE 7:36-50
GOD IS SAYING TODAY…
Well, I’m here looking for one person
I love to see crowds burn, but I know could shake history if I could find just one. ONE PERSON
You usually hear people say, “If we could get 1000 people in unity over this matter, we’ll get it fixed”. Or so many people together in unity… etc. yeah maybe… one prayer of faith will usually do it… from one person.
Anyone can burn in a crowd I want to find someone that will burn by them selves. Anyone can burn in a movement. I want to find that one person that will pray when there is no prayer meeting called. That will get up in the middle of the night when there’s no crisis. The one person that gets their personal victories when nobody is looking, defeats their lion and their bear so that when they have their day before Goliath, there’s all the confidence in the world and it’s not arrogance.
We hear all this talk about outpouring… healings… etc…
Where does the water of the last outpouring go to?
In the natural when it rains on the mountains, where does the water go?
Just think with me for a moment…
We talk about these mountain top experiences, where there is this explosive invasion of God…
No body in the room likes those more than I do… but where does the water go?
It goes down to the valleys. It goes to your lowest point.
God has concealed the rain of the last out pouring in the soil that you are standing on.
The darkest moment of a person’s life is actually their greatest moment to find promotion.
If they will simply turn the attitude of their heart from the dread of the moment to impossibility that God would abandon me to a season of dryness.
In Psalms 84, it says that they go through the valley of weeping.
They go through this place of dryness and baroness, but listen to this phrase, “they turn it into a spring”!
They take the crusty soil that they are standing on and they realize, wait a minute; God would not abandon me to dryness.
He has put me in a place where I must press past what is obvious to find what He has hidden for me not from me.
See, he has hidden a refreshing within reach. It is always, always, always within reach.
It’s just a step beyond convenience. Its not religious calisthenics, it’s the change of the heart that says,
“He would not abandon me to dryness”! He is the God of extravagance and abundance.
And the simple turning of the heart saying, “I know that I am standing on pregnant soil”!
I don’t care what the circumstances say.
This is what the sinful woman felt and realized when before she fell at the feet of Jesus.
I understand that womanWhen you’ve have been pulled off of the dung heap where the world casts aside its used-up, worthless garbage you cannot remain unmoved. This woman permitted God to move her. And when she moved, it was an all-out act of worship – selfless, pure, extravagant, even an embarrassment to the religious establishment. It takes a heart that has been wooed by forgiveness to love that deeply. She bowed at His feet and poured out the wages of her past - everything she was. She poured out the security of her future - everything she could ever afford to become. She even poured out the tears of her broken heart and laid bare the wounds that they had pooled in. Then this amazing woman loosed her glorious hair and used it to wipe Jesus' filthy, neglected feet clean. She used her glory as a dust rag to serve Christ. Her actions more eloquently expressed gratefulness than any words she could have spoken. That is worship. Worship is not lip service, but the grateful response of a heart that has been won by mercy (Romans 12:1).That is how I want to live. God is worthy of nothing less

The World is Wide Open
There’s a power in poverty that breaks principalities
and it brings the authorities down to their knees
and there’s a brewing frustration and ageless temptation
to fight for control by manipulation
The God of the kingdoms and the God of creation
And the God of the nations sent this revelation
Through the homeless and penniless Jesus, the Son
The poor will inherit the kingdom to come
And where will we turn when our world falls apart
And all of the treasures that we’ve stored in our barns
Can’t buy the kingdom of God
And who will we praise
When we’ve praised all of our lives
Men will build kingdoms and men will build fame
But heaven does not know there names
And what are we going to fear
when all that remains is a God on the throne
with a child in His arms and love in His eyes
and the sound of His heart crying
Take us way beyond religion
way beyond the minds of man
Take us way beyond politics
and the ways of this world
Deeper, deeper, deeper,
We want to go deeper,
Deeper into the ways of You Jesus
Teach us how to love
Teach me how to love
The world is wide open
Its wide open and desperate
Teach us Your ways Jesus
We want to walk in Your truth
And in Your freedom
and it brings the authorities down to their knees
and there’s a brewing frustration and ageless temptation
to fight for control by manipulation
The God of the kingdoms and the God of creation
And the God of the nations sent this revelation
Through the homeless and penniless Jesus, the Son
The poor will inherit the kingdom to come
And where will we turn when our world falls apart
And all of the treasures that we’ve stored in our barns

way beyond the minds of man
Take us way beyond politics
and the ways of this world
Deeper, deeper, deeper,
We want to go deeper,
Deeper into the ways of You Jesus
Teach us how to love
Teach me how to love
The world is wide open
Its wide open and desperate
Teach us Your ways Jesus
We want to walk in Your truth
And in Your freedom
